My first experience was with some friends on a chill night. We hung out on the outdoor patio where we could overlook a busy 5th Street and had some great conversation. My first impression that it was a chill night type of bar where you could relax and talk with friends. I have since gone back a few times with groups of friends and always have excellent service and enjoy the crowd...they usually have a DJ and they throw parties occasionally. I like Apple Bar because it's not your ordinary, always-the-same-crowd type of place.

I really enjoyed the Apple Bar in the past along with my big group of friends. But, after I was overcharged a week ago by a substantial amount of money posted to my credit/debit card, I was upset to find out the management was doing little to help the situation. Countless voice-mails, a stop by the bar a few nights and an email...still nothing...was told it was a "glitch". To make matters worse, most people I know that night who used their cards were overcharged and are still having problems getting it resolved with the bar. NEVER USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE....YOU MAY BE OVERCHARGED! PLUS, A WEEK LATER, THE MANAGEMENT WASN'T EVEN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT ALL THOSE THEY OVERCHARGED. So, if you go here, make sure to keep your receipts and check your statements. I kept mine and will be disputing the charge with my bank. Overall, it's left a really sour "apple" taste in my mouth. Just downright bad and illegal business!

I was in town for a friends birthday, and we decided to go downtown. After going to a couple other bars we stumbled into the apple bar. This place had a very nice vibe with a guitarist playing some well know tunes that we all ended up singing along to. The martini's were excellent and the staff was attractive, friendly, and sociable.

came here for the first time, used a credit card to buy a round of drinks, went to pay the tab, was told our credit card was given to someone else. Talk about a bad experience. do they not check names? Anyway, probably going to keep us from going back, which is a shame.

The Dirty Martini started out with a tiny amount of olive juice and became a martini glass of olive juice with a splash of alcohol after the bartender tried to fix it. The Cosmopolitan could only be called that because of its color and the Gin & Tonic was completely flat. I'll say that their drinks are definitely missing something ... better bartenders (they didn't even look old enough to be serving drinks) and an inventory of better alcohol brands!
