Perfect Spot!

While staying here you get both an art gallery and a hotel! The place is filled with great artwork. They have complimentary wine at night. The breakfasts are awesome. You are in a good part of town. I heard you about this place from a friend and stayed there last year and can't wait to get the opportunity for another little getaway.

Great Place to stay!

We LOVED The Austin Folk House. It was like staying at an exclusive art gallery with the all the comforts of a high end hotel. The rooms are delightful and we loved the extras--new mattresses, fluffy towels and even shower gel! The place was great but what could beat getting a great cup of coffee and going to sit on the porch on a beautiful spring morning. The breakfasts we enjoyed were some of the best ever--especially the raspberry French toast...Yum.

Wonderful!

I loved each of my two stays at the Austin Folk House. The rooms are elegant and luxurious and the entire B & B is full of extraordinary art from the owner's private family folk art collection. In fact, the place is a lot like an art gallery in its' rich and inviting display of paintings, sculpture and objects of art. The bathrooms are full of great products and all the amenities of a luxury hotel. And, breakfast is outstanding...I'd love to have some of Sylvia's recipes! I will definitely return for more visits and each time plan to stay in a different fabulously-appointed, art-filled room.

Our Favorite Austin B&B

Whenever my wife and I are in downtown Austin, the Folk House has always been our top choice. We love being able to see the state capitol dome from the front porch, and Sylvia's breakfasts are UNBELIEVABLE!! And of course, don't miss the folk art - some of the most interesting and lively pieces ever to hang under the roof of a Bed and Breakfast! Thanks, Sylvia, for opening such a neat place -- part of what makes Austin so cool!!!

Fabulously pleased

The Austin Folk House sets the standard for luxury in bed and breakfasts. A beautiful home in a quaint neighborhood with an inn hostess who has paid careful attention to every detail--from feather pillows and fine bed linens to orginal folk art to the homemade cookies waiting for you in the evenings. We couldn't recommend it more highly! Sadhu and Manda, Cleveland OH.
