Our surgery prices include a pre-surgical exam, IV catheter for drug administration and emergencies, an endotracheal tube to ensure your pet's breathing while under anesthesia, and use of our monitoring equipment. We use a balanced anesthesia protocol that is adjusted based on your pet's needs. Medication to prevent and treat pain is given before the surgery and sent home with you to give for 3-5 days post surgery. We also offer pre-anesthetic blood work and IV fluids during the surgical During your pets visit to Texas Aid to Animals he/she will be given a complete physical exam. The doctor will fully evaluate your pet's eyes, ears skin and teeth, listen to your pet's heart and lungs, palpate your pet's abdomen and go over your pet's history. This is to ensure that your pet is healthy and that it is safe to administer vaccines or proceed with surgery. The doctor will also address any medical problems found during the exam. We offer routine spay and neuter surgeries for both dogs and procedure. Both of these make surgery safer and are recommended but optional in apparently healthy animals. For pets over 8 years old, fluids and blood work are not optional due to increased anesthetic risk.

Dr. Robin Weaver grew up with her family in Dallas, TX. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr Weaver has special interests in internal medicine, general surgery, and animal behavior. She is an active member of the Austin Pug Club and Body Business In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chuck, and pets, Chloe (pug), Truman (pointer mix) and Spice (little old cat).
